Surgery

Our doctors provide a wide variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgical procedures for your pet including laser surgery procedures which produce less bleeding, less pain and quicker recovery time.
- Spay and Neuters
We recommend that most cats and dogs be surgically altered. This recommendation is made to help prevent reproductive infections, tumors and other related conditions. A recent Florida ASPCA study found that up to 90% of animals that get hit by a car are found to be intact (not spayed or neutered). Spaying or neutering your pets will prevent the desire to roam which leads to these accidents.
- Laser Surgery
Since your pet’s health is very important to us, we are pleased to offer laser surgery as a safer, more comfortable option for cat declaws and for specific lump/cyst removals.
Why laser surgery?
Less Pain: Laser energy seals nerve endings as it moves through tissue. Your pet will feel less pain post- operatively.
Less Bleeding: The laser seals small blood vessels during surgery which allows us to perform surgeries quicker, so your pet is not under anesthesia as long.
Less Swelling: Laser energy does not crush, tear, or bruise because only a beam of intense light contracts the tissue.
